It has been awhile since I have added to my blog and I am looking forward to creating more articles and information pieces that will be of use to my visitors. I have allowed “life happenings” to get in the way of being a regular contributor to my site. Please take note of this and don’t let it happen to you. We need to have a regular strategy setup if we are to be successful in our online businesses. I have some really good posts coming up about just this item and hope they will be useful to you too.
Now you have finally decided to give this Internet Marketing Business Idea a go you will need to set aside a space for your own office.
Many well established online marketers reveal that they started their business with a laptop seated on their beds and stored any paper records in the corner under their clothes!
If you are starting with a tight budget, and most of us do, then there are a few things that I would like to share with you that will make your life easier and allow you to make progress more quickly.
If you’re just new you may not yet have everything you need for your home office. Some people find they work better after they have all the equipment they need for their office while others have no choice than to get the minimal equipment and get started.
An interested visitor who has been strolling through your site has finally come to just what she is looking for and is about to make a purchase. She clicks the sign up now button and enters her email address which then sends her to her payment processor. Suddenly, her cat who has been sleeping peacefully nearby, takes a flying leap and lands right in the middle of her computer keyboard – Oh, No….
In the blink of an eye your visitor exits your site and your sale is dust…unless you have an autoresponder which has captured the precious email address entered earlier!
This will enable you to make contact with this visitor and offer them some updated information and perhaps they will return because you cared enough to make contact.
This WP journey is fraught with lots of stops and starts. What is the difference between a post and a page and how do you make a start?
Firstly, let’s look at the differences:
A page is usually created around one topic – for example you can have a shop page, a contact page, a welcome page, or anything that applies to your site.
A post is an ongoing conversation and can be on any number of different topics which would be of interest to their site visitors or subscribers. Posts can be more interactive than pages although there are no set rules about any of this and a site can be anything you want it to be.
How good it is to have lots of encouragement from other participants in Online Study Courses.
Especially those that take you on a step by step journey to online success. It will not be easy but I am sure it will be lots of fun and hard work.
I have many skills yet required but some other characteristics are more important at first. I must learn to set my goals and aim high. I must implement all that I learn and not be a perfectionist or use that as an excuse for procrastination.
If you are in need of encouragement or assistance with setting up your first blog or website then please leave a message in the comment area here and I will be happy to help you.
WHY DO WE NEED A “WHY”?
As we are often told if you don’t have a plan or reason to do what you do then your time is wasted. It is a map of your future. “Fail to plan and we plan to fail!”
A dream without a plan is a fantasy. It is easy to dream of all sorts of things but unless we put feet to the dream and work it through it is a pointless waste of time.
People will say, “don’t be silly, you can’t do that!” or “there is no way you will ever achieve that” … I know because I have heard that too! These are the people we need to move on from and look for those who can have a positive influence on our lives.
